Galaxy S24 and S23 users eagerly awaiting the One UI 7 stable update might have to wait longer than anticipated. Although Samsung debuted One UI 7 with the Galaxy S25 series, the update for previous models like the S24 and S23 remains unclear. The company had hinted at a February 7 release during its Unpacked event, but recent discussions with Samsung Support suggest a delay. A Samsung Support representative confirmed they have no confirmed release date yet, adding to concerns that the update might be postponed. The One UI 7 Beta program is still active but is no longer accepting new participants, signaling that Samsung may be taking extra time to perfect the software before it is rolled out widely.

Samsung Support Remains Unclear

According to a report from Sammy Fans, Samsung Support in the US remains vague about the One UI 7 rollout. When asked for a release timeline, the representative responded by saying, "We don’t have a specific date," and added that they couldn’t speculate on the matter either. This lack of clarity suggests that Samsung may be avoiding unnecessary hype, potentially because the update is not yet ready for a stable release.

One UI 7 Rollout Timeline

Despite the uncertainty, reports indicate that Samsung plans to release the One UI 7 update for both Beta and non-Beta users at the same time. The Galaxy S24 series is expected to be the first to receive the update, followed closely by other flagship models, including the Galaxy S23. While Samsung is targeting February for the initial rollout, a wider release may take place in March.

With Android 16 already in public beta, Samsung users are still awaiting the Android 15-based One UI 7. However, with major design changes and new features expected, the wait for the update may prove worthwhile.
